After a Sapphire FUE hair transplant, mild redness, sensitivity and crusting may be seen in the treated area. These effects vary from person to person.
The first wash is done on day 3. From the third day, the care and washing method recommended by our clinic is used.
In the first days it is important to protect the treated area and follow the care instructions. Within about 10 days, crusting is largely over and the grafts settle in.
Shock loss may be seen in the implanted hair in the first months. During this period the grafts beneath the shed hairs remain in the skin.
New hair starts to grow from around the 3rd month. In the following months it continues to grow longer, thicken and become denser.
The overall look of the hair comes together within 8 months to 1 year, varying from person to person.
Follow-Up and Care for Up to 1 Year
At Nilhair, we do not see a hair transplant as limited to the day of the procedure.
We follow our patients for 1 year after the procedure. During this time, hair growth, density and overall appearance are assessed at regular intervals.
The care process follows recommendations given personally to each patient. Because hair growth differs from person to person, progress is assessed throughout follow-up and specialist advice is shared when needed.
The aim is not only to perform the transplant but to follow the patient's process until the result is achieved.
Advantages of Unshaven DHI Hair Transplant
An unshaven hair transplant is a major advantage especially for patients who want to keep their existing hair. With the DHI method, work can be done between the existing hair without shaving the recipient area.
Placing the grafts directly with Choi pens allows controlled work, especially for the hairline and regional densification. The direction and angle of the follicles are set more precisely, aiming for a more natural look.
Using many Choi pens during the procedure and loading the grafts into the pens one by one make DHI hair transplant different from, and more specialised than, the classic Sapphire FUE method.
